Newborn Photography

Your custom newborn photography sessions are held in my comfortable home studio in Glasgow. It's well equipped with bespoke props, blankets and backgrounds which is perfect for a variety of styles and photos.

Once in a life time

Newborn photography is a once in a lifetime experience as your child will change and grow in the blink of an eye. Capturing these teeny tiny details that will change so quickly is an investment that you will treasure forever.

Most newborn sessions take place within the first 10-14 days after the baby is born. At this stage I can pose your baby in those sleepy curled up positions that you will see in my portfolio. After two weeks it is still possible to photograph your newborn however, babies tend to be less sleepy and want to stretch out, so certain poses might not be possible. This is why it is best to photograph your newborn baby within the first two weeks of their life.

Your Newborn Photo Session

Before the session, I will discuss the styles that you love, the session we will have, and I will work with you to capture the type of images you will want to cherish forever. Ideally you need to book during pregnancy as my diary fills very quickly, and I can't guarantee late availability (although it does happen, so do drop me an email to check!)

On booking a session I will send you a special code to access to my Before Your Session information. This information will help prepare you and your newborn for the day and make the most out of your session.

Please allow 4 hours for your newborn photography session, as I allow time for feeding, pee, poo, puke, and of course cuddling! I only undertake one newborn session per day to allow a no stress no rush session.

The Right Newborn Photographer

Choosing a Photographer is a difficult decision! I hope from the images on my website's gallery and reading reviews from previous customers you will see that Newborn photography is something that I specialise in.

I have a degree in photography and started specialising in newborn photography over 5 years ago.  I am fully insured and have trained extensively in newborn safety and in the art of newborn posing.  I am a proud member of the Baby and Newborn Photography Network who promote newborn safety.  I am lucky enough to have trained with some of the leading newborn photographers in the UK and from the US.

I absolutely love what I do and like to ensure the very best for my clients.

What areas do you cover?

My studio is base in Drumsagard 20 mins drive from Glasgow. I am based only few minutes away from from Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Blantyre, Uddingston, Hamilton and East Kilbride. However I have many clients that have travelled from all over the West of Scotland, Paisley, Kirkintilloch, Bishopbriggs, Newton Mearns, Bearsden.

Can parents and siblings be photographed with the baby?

Of course! I love to capture intimate portraits of new parents with their newborn babies. Siblings are welcome to the studio however you might want to arrange a family member to take your older children away after they have had their photographs taken. As newborn sessions can last 3-4 hours this can be boring for toddlers to sit through.
